Kura Kai Guidelines | Ngā Tikanga o te Kura mō te Kai

At our kura, we are committed to the health and wellbeing of our tamariki. Below are our guidelines for kai at school.

Kei tō mātou kura, ka aro mātou ki te oranga o ngā tamariki. Anei ā mātou tikanga mō te kai i te kura.

Breakfast | Parakuihi

Weet-Bix and milk are available for all tamariki to enjoy at school each morning.

He Weet-Bix me te miraka mō ngā tamariki katoa ia ata.

Lunch & Fruit | Tina me te Hua Rākau

We have provisions for lunches if children need kai. Fresh fruit is also available during break times.

He tina kei te wātea mēnā e hiahiatia ana e ngā tamariki. He hua rākau māori anō mō ngā wā whakatā.

Healthy Lunches | Tina Hauora

We encourage all tamariki to bring healthy, nourishing lunches from home.

Ka akiaki mātou kia kawea mai he tina hauora mai i te kāinga.

Lunches can also be purchased by placing an order at the staff room in the morning.

Ka taea hoki te hoko tina mā te tono i te ata ki te rūma kaimahi.

Milk & Water Only | He Miraka, He Wai Anake

We are a Milk and Water Only School.

He kura “Miraka me te Wai anake” mātou.

Please do not send fizzy drinks, juice, or flavoured milk with your child.

Kaua e tukuna mai he inu huka pēnei i te waihā, te inu huarākau rānei, te miraka reka rānei.

Foods Not Allowed | Ngā Kai Kāore e Āhei

To support our healthy kai kaupapa, we kindly ask that whānau do not send:

Hei tautoko i tō mātou kaupapa kai hauora, tēnā koa kaua e tukuna mai:

  • Yellow-coated snack foods (e.g. chips)
    Ngā paramanawa kōwhai (hei tauira, he tītipi)
  • Instant noodles
    Ngā nūri tere
  • Chocolate or chocolate-coated bars
    Ngā parete tiakarete, me ngā parete kākahu tiakarete
