Te Huinga me Haerenga ā Kura / School Meetings & Visits
Mihimihi Evening & Whānau Connections
At the start of every year, we will host a Mihimihi Evening where whānau have the opportunity to meet our teaching team and staff, connect with their child’s kaiako, and find out how they can support a positive and successful start to school for their tamaiti. This evening will also be a chance to share what’s happening in our kura and how whānau can be involved in the learning journey.
Hei te tīmatanga o ia tau, ka tū he Pō Mihimihi ki te whakatau i ngā whānau me ngā kaiako, ā, ki te whakawhiti kōrero mō te haerenga ako o ā tātou tamariki.
We encourage all five-year-olds to attend at least four weeks of school visits before starting school full-time. These visits will take place on Wednesday mornings from 9.00am to 12.00pm, helping tamariki settle into school life, build routines, and become familiar with our kura environment and expectations.
Ka tū ngā haerenga kura ia Wenerei, 9.00am – 12.00pm, mō te whā wiki i mua i te tīmatanga o te kura, hei āwhina i ngā tamariki kia tau ai ngā tikanga me ngā kaupapa o te kura.
To maintain strong connections, we’ll hold a monthly Whānau Hui to keep you updated on your child’s learning, share our teaching approaches, and provide an open space for whānau voice, ideas, and aspirations for our kura.
Ia marama ka tū tātou i tētahi Hui ā-Whānau hei whakawhiti kōrero, hei whakarongo ki ngā whakaaro o te whānau, me te tuku pārongo mō ngā mahi ako a ngā tamariki.
